This map was created for a design challenge as a linear stealth focused level. You must make your way into the ferry boat, get to the basement to find a stolen item, and get back out to the sock before the ferry leaves.
The intro of the level is on the dock, but after that it solely takes place on the ship. Because the level had to be linear, I really liked the idea of 3 floors that the player must travel back and forth through while still following the linear mission progression. Though the environment itself is not quite linear, the mission requires you to move throughout the level in a linear manner to complete the task and beat the level. It puts an interesting twist on the linear level trope where it still feels like there is player choice within the linear mission.
